| NavigX Overview |
![]() NavigX is the first application designed for Macs running OS X Leopard which converts between Ordnance Survey Grid References and Latitude/Longitude co-ordinates. Similar to the NavigX Widget, the NavigX application offers more features such as the import and export of Comma Separated Value (.CSV) files for conversion and Copy/Paste operations are also supported. NavigX has been designed to be simple to operate. You can paste your Lat/Longs or Grid References into the application and conversions can also be copied to the clipboard for pasting into whatever application you choose. Batch Conversions of OS Grid References and Latitude/Longitudes can now be undertaken using the Batch Conversion option. If you're importing CSV files then you can have a file full of OS Grids, Lat/Longs or a mix of both. When you export your conversions, all of your original data will remain intact. CSV files need to be formatted as a two-column file with Latitude/Longitudes in column 1 and OS Grid References in column 2. This formatting will be preserved when the file is exported. NavigX v1.0 is now available as a 30-day trial download from this site by clicking here. After 30 days, you'll need to register the application to continue using it. Registration costs £9.95 plus VAT and can be securely completed within the application - just click on the 'Register...' item in the NavigX menu. A full instructional guide will shortly be available on this site which will cover a basic run through of all the features of NavigX as well as how to perform the Batch Conversions, Bug Reports and Requests for Enhancements. In the meantime, if you need any assistance working with NavigX, please use the Contact Us link on this page and we'll answer your queries via email. PLEASE NOTE: Minimum version of OS X required is OS X 10.5 Leopard. NavigX does NOT run on OS X Tiger 10.4.11. |
