Locate These settings are all either ON or OFF and they simply switch the display of their respective conversions on or off on the Locate screen. Navigate Proximity Warning - The proximity warning alerts you when you are nearing a waypoint or destination. ou select the distance that you'd like to be alerted and when you're that far away from the waypoint or destination, an alert pops up to tell you you're there. Navigation Method - This determines how NavigX Touch navigates. A Great Circle path is basically the shortest difference between two points over the surface of the earth. A Rhumb Line path is a straight line between two points. What difference will you notice? Well, for short distances, probably nothing but if you're using NavigX Touch to navigate over longer distances, you may see your bearing change as you progress over the length of the Great Circle path. Rhumb Line bearings don't change if you stay on the bearing for the duration of the journey. Units - You can currently select between Metric or Imperial units. We want to make NavigX Touch as customisable as possible so it works the best way possible for you. Please don't hesitate to contact us if there is anything that you would like to customise but currently can't. |
